Yelp says three stars is A-okay, and that's exactly what Gatti's is. I moved across the bridge eighteen years ago and I had never been in here until last week. After a long workday that began at 4am, I wanted a quick and easy dinner, so I decided to give them a shot.
It's like stepping back in time inside, which didn't bother me a bit, since I'm an eighties child. I grew up eating at a now-closed Mr. Gatti's (as it was called back then) in Fern Creek, which is now an El Nopal. Walking inside brought back memories from that location, as they still have the tables and chairs I remember from back then. The place is dated, but not in bad condition. They do still have an old projection tv though.
It was five o'clock when I arrived and it was really crowded. The parking lot here is on the side and it was hard to tell just how many people were inside. They have a small salad bar, several pizzas, some pasta, and a couple of sweet options. The salad bar had a decent amount of options, but sadly, no cheese. It wasn't in terrible shape, but it could've used a little love. The pastas weren't for me though. However, the pizzas were good for a buffet and the staff kept them coming and fresh. I had a couple of pieces. I particularly liked the chicken, bacon, and ranch pizza.
The staff was pretty friendly. Everything is self-serve. The young guy bussing the tables in the dining room was on the ball and did a really good job of keeping the dining area clean. This place is a just a good place to come and get some pizza on the cheap and jet. (Throwback term for a throwback place.) ;) I would consider going back. -

Terrible gattis to go to. Staff wasn't very friendly, only a couple of super old games and old nasty pizzas. Had to ask to make fresh ones. Will not go back

I wish I could go through life never going to Gatti's. The service is always good, I just hate their food. Unfortunately I have people in my family that make me go here with them and I just can't stomach their pizza. It's as though they take cardboard and try to claim it's pizza.

Stopped in here on Sat night. From the outside my wife asked "this is the place?" It doesn't look like much. Inside its a nice little place. It was clean and the buffet and salad bar were well stocked. The pizza was good and they kept enough variety on the buffet. I would suggest they use labels or tags to identify the pizzas.
My wife accidentally got a buffalo chicken pizza thinking it was the bbq chicken pizza she had and really liked. Overall nice experience. -

Best Gatti's in the Kentuckana area. Food is hot and fresh with great variety. Comfortable dining area with big screen. They used to host my football team gatherings. Good staff, excellent owners.
